Claude Usage Tracker does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data with any third party, with the exception of optional license key verification handled by Gumroad, and anonymous in-extension click/usage analytics handled by Google Analytics (see below). All core data processing occurs locally on the user's device.
| Data | Where it stays | Sent externally? |
|---|---|---|
| Usage metrics (session %, weekly %, reset times) | Device only (chrome.storage.local) |
No |
| User settings (thresholds, language, notification preferences) | Chrome sync storage (chrome.storage.sync) |
Synced across the user's browsers via their Google account; not transmitted to any external servers by the extension |
| Claude.ai session cookies | Not accessed, read, or stored by the extension | No — handled automatically by the browser |
| Supporter license key | Device only (chrome.storage.local) |
Sent to Gumroad API for one-time verification only |
| Supporter tier | Device only (chrome.storage.local) |
No |
| Anonymous usage analytics (e.g. button clicks, settings changes, panel opens) | Anonymous random ID stored locally (chrome.storage.local) |
Sent to Google Analytics 4 — no personally identifiable information included |
claude.ai using your existing browser login session.
If you choose to activate a Supporter license key, the extension sends that key to the
Gumroad license verification API (api.gumroad.com/v2/licenses/verify) for a one-time validation.
No other personal data is included in this request.
The extension records a small set of anonymous interaction events (such as clicking refresh, opening a panel, or changing a setting) to understand which features are used, via Google Analytics 4 (Measurement Protocol). Each event is tied only to a randomly generated identifier stored on your device — never your name, email, Claude.ai account, or any content you work on. No personally identifiable information is ever included.
